1. Agreement
These Terms are between you and [COMPANY NAME] ("we", "us"), trading as SpellBands, registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. By using SpellBands at www.spellbands.co.uk or our mobile apps, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Who may use SpellBands
Children may play under supervision of a parent, guardian, or authorised educator. Optional accounts are for adults aged 18+ only. By allowing a child to use SpellBands, you confirm you have authority to consent and accept these Terms on their behalf where applicable.
3. The service
SpellBands provides educational spelling games. We may change features at any time. The app supports learning but is not a substitute for school instruction or professional assessment.
4. Accounts and profiles
Guest play stores progress on your device. Child profiles are created locally. Optional parent accounts authenticate adults; cloud sync of child progress is not currently offered. You are responsible for device security and credentials.
5. Purchases
- Web: Stripe checkout, typically a one-time payment for full access.
- iOS / Android: Apple or Google in-app purchases via RevenueCat.
- Refunds: Statutory UK consumer rights apply. App store refunds follow Apple/Google policies. Contact hello@spellbands.co.uk for web purchase issues.
We do not store payment card details.
6. Acceptable use
You must not abuse the service, bypass paywalls, scrape systems, submit unlawful content, or misrepresent your age or authority to consent.
7. Intellectual property
SpellBands content is owned by [COMPANY NAME] or licensors. We grant a limited personal, non-commercial licence to use the service.

9. Parental gate
Purchases and the Parent Dashboard require an adult maths check. This is not a substitute for device-level parental controls.
10. Warranties and liability
The service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded (including fraud or death/personal injury from negligence). Subject to mandatory law, our aggregate liability in any 12 months is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us or £50.
11. Governing law
England and Wales law and courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections elsewhere in the UK or EEA.
